Aly and Nicole started Maxstar to change the lives of strays, owner surrenders, abused and neglected pets by providing medical treatment and placing them in loving, permanent family homes.
Maxstar Rescue is a 501c3 licensed non-profit no kill organization that is located in St. Louis, Missouri. We strive to help homeless pets in need who have been abandoned or forgotten at shelters, left on the streets to fend on their own, owner surrenders due to difficult circumstances and those in danger of abuse and neglect. We assist animals in distress without regards to age, breed, gender or ease of placement. We work diligently to help educate the public on pet sterilization, responsible pet ownership, and the treatment of animals. We educate the public on the stereotypes of breeds by showing that all pets can be loving family members. We believe all animals, regardless of their breed, have their own special home waiting for them.
MaxStar Rescue is a foster based rescue in which we rely on loving and dedicated volunteers to open up their home, time, and resources to help save the lives and care for these pets in need until they are adopted. Before adoption all our pets will receive the proper vetting including vaccines, spay/neuter, microchip, and any necessary vet care/treatment that is needed for the animal.
When adopting our pets we follow a screening process to ensure the best suitable placement for each of our pets. We adopt out our animals into loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches while educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a new pet into their homes and lives.
MaxStar provides these needed services through our fundraising events set in place by our dedicated volunteers and through donations from supporters that believe in our mission to help change the future of helpless and homeless animals. With out donations from the public we are unable to save the ones in need. We work along side other non profits and shelters to help gain an amazing group of networkers to help more pets and get all pets the lives they deserve!
