Boone

Yes his ears hang low and wobble to and fro, he can tie them in a knot and he can tie them in a bow! Everyone meet the newest MaxStar pup Boone! 🐾This gentle handsome man is a year old Coonhound and when we say perfect he is exactly that! He loves all people including the little ones and gets along great with dogs of all sizes, he’s still pretty shy but just in a couple days he’s opened up and loves to follow you around. He will still need some extra work on learning basic manners but this boy is very laid back and calm and loves getting his head pet! And yes to answer your question he does HOWWWL very loud for all to hear 😂 he will soon be looking for his perfect home that won’t judge him for his singing all day long!

Ohanna

Meet Ohanna! Do you remember watching Lilo and Stitch when you were little? One of my favorite parts was when she chose stitch to be her pet. Even though he was strange, wild, and needed some work, she loved him. That’s what we’re hoping Ohanna can find, unconditional love, as she has so much to give. Ohanna was found abandoned, it took us 3 weeks to catch her, she was far from healthy but since we’ve had her she’s gotten healthy as a clam.  Ohanna is definitely a long timer under maxstar, she would really love to be stuck inside with a single lady or single momma, she is very shy but warms up quickly and when she does she won’t ever leave your side. She is kennel trained, but unfortunately doesn’t get along with other animals. She isn’t grumpy but just prefers not to share her space. The best part?! She is always so happy and bouncing around that she “sings” all day long! Ohanna would do best in a home with a single lady looking for a forever companion. (She’s not really into men, and we get it 😜) she’s up to cuddle on the couch every day, movie nights will become 100x better, guaranteed! Ohanna is protective of her person and will need to take some basic obedience classes with whoever adopts her so they can learn to work together. She is kennel trained, potty trained and fully vetted. We know her forever family is out there, and we’re waiting patiently for her perfect match!

Pluto

🐶🐶🐶 Update: Pluto’s adoption donation has been sponsored so he’s now just waiting for the best family to come swoop him up! 🐶🐶🐶 We love seeing what a little love can do. Fosters are so important, and although we here it all the time how we can’t save them all, we will surely do our best to save the ones we can. 💕 Pluto’s story started just like most of the other ones under the rescue, at one point he had a family then one day he ended up on his own in a not so great area across from the river, he hung around for a few days waiting for I’m sure his owners to come back but they never did, we couldn’t get close enough to him but he was very eager anytime there was food. Shortly after setting up a trap early in the morning he walked right in and we new we had to give him the best from here on out. He is guessed to be around 6-7 years, he gets along with other dogs and loves to play with people, he prances around the house following you from room to room but will also lay on his bed when time to relax. Even at his age he enjoys going for runs and long walks but does still need a little help with learning how to walk on a leash and basic manners. The plus side is Pluto is kennel trained and enjoys going in his kennel to hang out. He rarely barks and is working hard on learning to go potty outside as we believe he use to live outside his whole life. His unique look will definitely grab everyone’s attention. He would do best in a home with either a privacy fence or someone to take him out on a leash for potty breaks as he has proven he is part kangaroo when he wants to be. He loves food so figuring out the daily question we all dread “what’s for dinner” won’t be an issue. 🐾 🐶So who wants to give Pluto a home on this place we call earth?

DP

Ladies and gentleman St. Louis’s most eligible bachelor is looking for a place to plant his roots!

Meet DP, he is currently on the market looking for a very special guy (or girl)! He’s a good boy who wants someone to snuggle up with at night and watch movies. You can tell him any secret and he’ll keep it (mainly bc he can’t hear it to begin with! He’s deaf! Which also means if you rip one he won’t know ) He loves to just be with you while you do your favorite things. People watching is one of his favorite things to do, he just wags his tail as they walk by. He loves food and will always be down to share some fries with the guys and hang out.

He has had some rowdy days in past, he was sent to boot camp for it (K9 Kamp Dog Training). He will be refreshed before going to his new home. He loves all attention to be on him, so no other dogs or animals (he’s a bachelor what can we say). He is potty trained and kennel trained as well!

Could DP be the love of your life? We definitely think so! His adoption fee is also sponsored for the right person who wants to come and sweep him off his paws.

Bo

Hi! My name is Botox (Bo for short). I am a 2 year old Sharpei who was surrendered to MaxStar due to needing more time and attention than my previous owners could provide.

My dream is to find a family with a TALL fenced in yard or someone really strong to hold my leash on potty breaks and walks as I'm very curious about everything that passes around me. Also someone with kiddos who are older to play with and let me chase around the house. I previously was never kenneled an it's taking some time to get use to being in one but I'm learning that it's not so bad so bonus points if my new family has someone home a lot throughout the day. (I get lonely, what can I say)

I also never lived with or grew up around any other dogs so I'm a little nervous around them, I'd definitely prefer a home with no one but me. Unfortunately those tiny fuzzy things I've heard that are called "kitties" I'm not to sure about so a home without them would be more my style.

I'm pretty independent but given time I do bond with my person and also hold true to the stereotype of Shar peis, meaning sometimes I can be stubborn even though I don't like to admit it, I like sticking to people I know, and yep you guessed the last part, I might slobber and kinda snore, but I also might blame it on someone else instead! But don't forget the good part, underneath all these wrinkles im an amazing one of a kind boy! Plus I'm potty trained and have the most adorable swirl for a tail!

A person knowledgeable and/or experienced of my breed is highly recommended if you are wanting to take me home. So what do you say? Think I'm cute? Think I might be the one?
